On September 11, 6 pm a guided tour in Latvian will take place in Telling Tales exhibition in National Gallery of Art in Vilnius. Guided tour will be led by a member of Latvian Community in Vilnius, a traveler and guide in the Baltic states Edvinas Pundys.  The guide and the visitors are invited to share the memories the artworks may bring back, express their thoughts and impressions. This is the last guided tour of the cycle of four, led by Latvians and Estonians residing in Lithuania in Telling tales exhibition.

Telling tales exhibition brings together ten artists or artist duos from the Baltic States and Switzerland under the theme of story-telling, in terms of both collective history and personal narrative. A major subject for many Baltic artists is the heritage of the Soviet past. Found photographs and film-footage, documenting of the past provide material for their work. In contrast, Swiss artists develop fictions that concern the creation of myths, evoke period aesthetics or analyze the influence of archival processes on the construction of collective memory.
